Let’s talk about the ultimate maximalist moment. ✨ Demna at Gucci Resort 2027 @gucci just gave us one of the most audacious fashion moments of the year, dressing Alex Consani @alexconsani in at least $10 million worth of jewels (my rough estimate). As you see, we are not talking about a single statement piece. We are talking about numerous high jewellery necklaces stacked together into a literal tower of coloured gems and diamonds. So, is it a Yay or a Nay? As a jewellery lover, my first reaction is pure awe. It is a visual feast. The audacity to take millions of dollars of high jewellery and pile it on without apology is pure fashion theatre. It is loud, it is bold, and it is completely unforgettable. But is it too much? From a jewellery styling perspective, stacking pieces of this magnitude is incredibly tricky. Usually, you want one masterpiece to breathe. When you stack ten million dollars of necklaces, they start to compete with one another. However, for a high-fashion runway? I say Yay. A runway is not a dinner party. It is a space for fantasy, exaggeration, and pushing boundaries. It is opulence without limits. I would not wear it to lunch, but I absolutely love that it exists. What do you guys think?
