“Ounce”

Hero’s define righteousness’s call,
They stand in adversity risking it all,
Courage doused faith discerning intellect too,
Resolve to not quit how winners do,
With each day a chance to begin anew,
The slate wipes clean to earn your due,
As the proud and few practice humility’s way,
Moments last in what you do and say,
With honor respect cherished memories true,
How does one eternalize I love you,
In the context of meaning where gold the highest bar,
Oz I wish I knew where you are.
