The interior of Loca Niru draws inspiration from the image of a white horse entering a field of reeds, envisioned by chef Shusuke Kubota.

This sense of gentleness and restraint informs the restaurant’s atmosphere. Designed by Keiji Ashizawa Design within the historic House of Tan Yeok Nee in Singapore, the space reduces visual and acoustic noise, allowing light, material, and movement to unfold with clarity.

Karimoku Case furniture contributes to this calm spatial rhythm, placed alongside bespoke lighting crafted from Echizen washi paper, stone, textiles, and Japanese artworks. Each element is carefully balanced, creating a dining environment where presence, stillness, and attention shape the experience.
