LIFETIME PR MILESTONES!! 📈📈📈😤 And more…
Yesterday was last day of bulking (for now) before a mini pre-vacation cut. Got up to ~224lbs and maintained for about a month. Shoutout to my brother Billy who’s been in SF interning and lifting with me the last couple of weeks! (see the last two photos)
As I said last month, I’ve been shooting for lifetime PR milestones of 500lbs 1RMe bench, 600lbs 1RMe squat, and a stretch of 600lbs 1RMe deadlift.
Well… WE GOT ‘EM!! 💥 (only game myself a single migraine in the process 😅)
Seriously though, these were easily my most all-out sets ever. I was mogging so hard I was practically SCREAMING in the gym haha
Really feels like I’m peaking right now! In particular, it was so gratifying to finally hit 10x446 on squat after 6 failed attempts. This is the most fulfilled I’ve ever felt lifting! 💪
Deadlifting this year has been a huge surprise, too. After AJ Green (shoutout!) suggested that my knee soreness was due to quad-hamstring muscle imbalance, I’ve been prioritizing it and my strength there has SHOT back up! Hoping I can push it to 650+ over the next year or so!
Last but certainly not least, I did a DEXA scan and surprised myself with 15.6% BF @ 223.2lbs BW! (~1% better than I was expecting)
Two more stellar stats: 0.03lbs visceral fat and 99.9995% percentile bone density – extremely healthy and hopefully immune to broken bones?! 🤞
25.6 FFMI suggests I’m at (/ past?) my theoretical natural genetic max as well.
That being said, as the God of Gainz once said: “When thou findest thyself at the natural limit, add therefore unto thy body another twenty pounds.”
It’s been spoken… I must GO HEAVIER!! Post-vacation, my intent is to finally bulk past 230lbs! Maybe even up to near 250?? 👀 The key thing I’ll be watching is 1) low visceral fat 2) under ~20% BF.
STAY TUNED!!! 🫶
P.S. made some updates to weightlifting.chappyasel.com – a website I built a few months ago that pulls my Weightlifting App data weekly to share with friends!
