Little Fodders Downhill Race — Forest of Dean, 18th July 2026
Sonny Shuttleworth put in a strong performance at the Little Fodders Downhill Race in the Forest of Dean on Saturday, crossing the line in 5th place in the Intermediate category.
What little shade there was on the trails offered welcome respite from temperatures in the 30s. Conditions tested every rider’s stamina, but Sonny kept a steady pace throughout and held position well against a competitive field.
The course, designed to suit a range of age groups, was shorter than a full-length downhill run but no less demanding. Dry, dusty conditions added an extra challenge to the off-camber corners and hairpin bends that put Sonny’s cornering ability to the test. He handled the technical sections confidently, making up ground where it mattered.
A solid top-five performance on a hot, technical downhill course — a great outing for the Forest of Dean racing calendar. Sonny is already looking forward to the next race in the series, coming up in October.
