We put on our lab coats, got our hands on real sheep brains, and turned @thehealthmuseum into the coolest anatomy class Houston’s ever seen.

Leading the lesson was Carmen Zavala, a sixth-year MD–PhD candidate at UTHealth Houston researching how the brain produces language and how technology can help restore speech after stroke.
Joining her was Dr. Angel Bueno, a physician and brain cancer researcher at UTHealth Houston studying new approaches to diagnosis and treatment.
