I recently had the joy of introducing so many lovely faces to The Pebble Exercise® while demoing at a wellness event, and watching people slow down, let go of perfection, and simply create was such a special reminder of why I created it in the first place.
Our brains are so used to rushing from one thought to the next that sometimes we forget what it feels like to simply pause.
The Pebble Exercise® was born during a time when my own mind felt incredibly loud. I needed something simple that would gently bring me back to the present without the pressure of making “good” art.
All you need is a pebble and a pen.
As you slowly push the pebble across the page, allow your pen to follow every twist and turn. There’s no right or wrong outcome. No masterpiece to create. Just one small moment of focus.
For me, it helps quiet the mental noise, slow my racing thoughts, and reminds me that creativity doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.
If your brain feels overwhelmed today, I hope this gives you a few peaceful minutes. 🤍
I’d love to know if you give it a try—let me know how it made you feel.
The Pebble Exercise® is also featured in my upcoming book, The Peaceful Brain Art Book, available to pre-order now. 📘
