A place that somehow lives up to the hype. 🤍
Perched on Mackinac Island since 1887, the Victorian-style Grand Hotel has welcomed everyone without ever needing a single car on the island. Walking the famously long front porch, it’s easy to see why it feels frozen in time.
If you’ve seen Somewhere in Time, it was filmed here in 1979. The love story between Richard Collier and Elise McKenna made the hotel just as much of a character as the actors themselves, and yes, her character is my namesake!
