For a long time, I thought Pokémon cards were mostly about money.

I woke up thinking about TCGplayer charts.
I went to bed thinking about the next video that might get views.

I made market content & chased numbers. I started believing the "next step" was obvious: affiliate links, rip-and-ship streams, turning the hobby into a business.

And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

There are some fantastic creators and businesses who do it with integrity and have built amazing communities.

It just wasn't making me happy.

Slowly, I stopped seeing the cards for what they were and started seeing everything through the lens of engagement, clicks, and sales. Every idea became "Will this perform?" instead of "Do I love this?"

The strange part is... the more successful that mindset became, the emptier I felt.

So I changed direction.

Now I'm chasing stories instead of prices.

Life is short. Do the thing you love.
