As someone that works in video production outside of being a content creator it’s a different story but I can’t say I’m a big fan of the price for what the camera is in comparison to the FX3.

They made it tough to decide. I have the fx6 so I may be a little bias but fx3 is the better option than the fx5. The most meaningful thing they did was throw 5k and open gate. But is it worth shooting 5k with the prices of storage space 🤔

Cool camera but the only thing it has that I wish my fx3 had is false color, I honestly don’t need or care about anything else on the fx5 that can justify paying 5k. I was waiting for the announcement to decide on my next camera purchase but now I’m definitely just gonna get another fx3 or a7s3 and some more glass.

Well, you cant get everything you want in one go, hence the upgrades and for what that camera is packing, I genuinely say the price is fair. It gives someone who is just buying a fx3 for the first time a choice option for the features and honestly I’d pick it up!!

1. If we’re honest most folks that are using the FX3 haven’t even pushed it to the max. 2. 16bit raw is cool until you see the file sizes. 3. Sony = Apple at this point. Canon and Nikon have given you more at lesser price points
