Thank you for the wonderful music. I'll keep supporting you❤️

Imagine going to a nightclub, not to party, but to relax with your favourite book while a DJ plays soothing music in the background!

On September 26, 2026, an underground nightclub called SPREAD, located in Tokyo’s trendy Shimokitazawa neighbourhood, hosted an unusual event that brought together two seemingly different worlds: reading and nightlife.

Instead of the usual crowded dancefloor and booming music, organizers transformed the space into a cosy reading lounge by covering the floor with carpets. Guests were encouraged to sit comfortably, stretch out, or simply lie down with a book of their choice while a DJ played soft, ambient electronic music at a relaxing volume. 📖🎶

The experience offered a refreshing alternative to traditional clubbing, allowing people to enjoy the atmosphere of a nightclub without the pressure to dance or socialize constantly.

Attendees could also exchange books, discover new reads, and connect with fellow book lovers in a setting rarely associated with quiet activities.

And once the peaceful reading session came to an end, the DJ gradually increased the volume, turning the space back into a dancefloor for anyone who wanted to continue the night with music and dancing.

The event highlighted a creative approach to nightlife, showing that clubs don't always have to be about loud music and high-energy parties. Sometimes, all you need is a good book, calming beats, and a comfortable place to unwind.

Would you attend a nightclub where you could read books before hitting the dancefloor?

ONE LAST CIGARETTE is here at last! I’m so incredibly proud of this song, and grateful for the friends who helped me create the world that it represents. It’s a song about loneliness and loss, but there’s a beautiful irony in how it’s helped me create and deepen relationships in the process of bringing this song to life. Now it’s yours so GO STREAM THE HELL OUT OF IT ❤️‍🔥
