We spend our lives
Chasing the light
Running after dawn
As if the sun were a stranger
Searching rivers and mountains
For a secret flame
But the beloved hides
In plain sight
In the trembling leaf
In the river’s silver song
In the quiet soil
That cradles every root
The light we seek
Is not a distant star
It is the orchard blooming
Inside our chest
The wind carrying prayers
Through our breath
The eternal fire
Woven into the marrow of trees
