Bass without sacrificing the trunk. 🔊
The HELIX IK ES10.1-DVC2 10” loaded subwoofer enclosure might be one of my favorite parts of the entire E46 M3 audio build.
The bass hits exactly how I wanted it—deep, tight and controlled, with plenty of punch when the music calls for it. It fills in the low end that the factory HK system was always missing without overpowering the Morel front stage.
But what really impressed me is the fit.
The ultra-low-profile enclosure looks like it was designed specifically for the E46 M3 trunk. It sits incredibly clean, takes up very little usable space and still allows me to use the trunk like… well, a trunk. 😂
That was a big part of the OEM+ philosophy behind this build. I wanted dramatically better sound without a giant enclosure or amp rack taking over the car.
Big bass. Small footprint. Factory-like integration.
Exactly what I was hoping for.
