3 months agoSome days everything goes smooth and easy. And some days it’s nothing but “Murphy’s law”. 🙈it’s undermining our confidence 🤦♀️🤣 Just wait because the easy days are around the corner.
3 months agoInsta posts usually only shows the perfect. (The perfect body, landscape, pet, painting, pot, etc) Everyone needs to know that creating is not easy and even when it goes right, there can be an immense frustration. It often isn’t about failing, it is about pushing the boundaries as far as you can go. P.S. I am glad I can read lips enough that I could read the last word you said at the end of the first “failure “! 😂
3 months agoThis is so true. It's funny, the reason I got into pottery in the first place was to find a sense of control in an out of control world. It ended up teaching me the opposite. It's made me comfortable with loss, with trying and failing, with pushing myself and finding limits, and improving over time with patience and practice. I don't always have control of the clay but it also teaches me control of myself.
3 months agoIt's OK! Try again. It's important to breathe and calm down, like in meditation, before doing pottery. Hopefully, this one turns out better. Don't give up!... 🧘✨️🫶🏺🌀💡🧿🙏❤️
