Trump campaigned on arresting criminals, so why are armed ICE agents arresting nuns walking to Sunday Mass? Because Trump never cared about making our communities safe, in fact his administration’s sweeping immigration raids have resulted in families torn apart, lives ended, and communities in fear.
Sister Letty Ugboaja was walking to church in South Texas when ICE agents detained her. She’s lived in the US for over a decade, served her community as a nurse and volunteer, but none of that mattered to Trump’s agents. They wouldn’t even let her attend Mass or receive Communion.

Just think of the thousands of people who were taken by ICE in 2025 and have since been sent to a foreign prison. They are sitting there now, ignored and hoping someone knows they are there.

They probably thought she was Muslim because they’re that stupid. Also no one should be just taken off the street and hid in a detention center.
