From the very beginning of Trump’s war with Iran, his administration has lied, lied, and lied some more.

They lied about the urgent need to intervene. They lied about how easy it would be to secure their objectives and get out. Now they have the audacity to lie about the very service members they put in harm’s way: they’re hiding injury numbers and even removing the names of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice from public record.

Enough is enough, the American people are tired of this war, they never wanted it in the first place. It’s time for this to end. by @repjimmygomez

Trump campaigned on arresting criminals, so why are armed ICE agents arresting nuns walking to Sunday Mass? Because Trump never cared about making our communities safe, in fact his administration’s sweeping immigration raids have resulted in families torn apart, lives ended, and communities in fear.

Sister Letty Ugboaja was walking to church in South Texas when ICE agents detained her. She’s lived in the US for over a decade, served her community as a nurse and volunteer, but none of that mattered to Trump’s agents. They wouldn’t even let her attend Mass or receive Communion. by @repjimmygomez

Trump’s reckless war with Iran has already cost Americans far too much. This week, four U.S. service members were killed in Iranian strikes. Now, families at home are also facing higher costs as oil prices surge, driving up gas prices and the cost of everyday goods. That’s why I voted to end this war through a War Powers Resolution. Congress has the constitutional authority to decide when America goes to war, not Trump. I’ll keep fighting to hold this administration accountable until this war ends. by @repjimmygomez
