Travis Kelce’s in the house!!! 🔥 Travis could pass two Pro Football Hall of Famers before the final whistle at Arrowhead today. Travis heads into this afternoon’s game against the Chargers with 1,096 career receptions. That puts him seventh on the NFL’s all-time list, and the names just ahead of him are close. Four catches gets him to 1,100. Only two tight ends in NFL history have ever reached that number: Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten. Six catches moves him past Cris Carter (1,101) for sixth all-time. Seven catches moves him past Marvin Harrison (1,102) for fifth all-time. At that point the only players with more catches would be Jerry Rice, Larry Fitzgerald, Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten. There’s a quieter milestone in play too. Three catches of 25 yards or more would give Travis the most ever by a tight end, passing Rob Gronkowski. This all comes during what’s shaping up to be one of his best starts in years. At 37, in his 14th season, Travis leads the Chiefs in receiving yards with 16 catches for 246 yards and two touchdowns. Back in Week 2 against the Colts, he passed Marshall Faulk for the most yards after the catch in NFL history. The Chiefs are 4-0 and coming off their bye. The Chargers are 0-5. Kickoff is 3:25 p.m. Central / 4:25 p.m. Eastern on CBS and Paramount+, with the New Heights tailgate happening at Arrowhead before the game!
