Aamukahvilla en yleensä lue Iltasanomia, mutta silloin kun luen, on siihen erityinen syy. * Olen valmis asettumaan ehdolle eduskuntaan ensi keväänä @helsinginvasemmisto’n listoilta. Suomella on itsenäisyyden ajan oikeistolaisin hallitus vallassa. Tämä on merkinnyt leikkauksia pienitulosilta, heikennyksiä työntekijöiden asemaan ja hyökkäystä järjestäytynyttä ammattiyhdistysliikettä vastaan. Häädöt ja asunnottomuus ovat lisääntyneet, leipäjonot pidentyneet. Työttömyys on EU:n korkeinta ja työssäkäyvistä monet joutuvat pelkäämään työpaikkansa puolesta. Samaan aikaan hyvätuloisille ja suurille yrityksille on jaettu veronalennuksia. Nyt tarvitaan kaikki mukaan kaatamaan oikeistovalta. Monet monet teistä on toivonut minun asettuvan ehdolle. Eduskuntasaliin vääntöihin on minua toivottu laittamaan perussuomalaisia ja kokoomuslaisia kuriin. Toisaalta moni teistä on kertonut olevansa hyvin tyytyväinen työhöni apulaispormestarina ja haluaisivat myös sen jatkuvan. Olen hoitanut apulaispormestarin tehtävää suurella intohimolla, ja se on varmasti näkynyt. Kansanedustajaksi valinta tarkoittaisi sitä, että joutuisin luopua apulaispormestarin tehtävästä. Se ei kuitenkaan tarkoittaisi, että luopuisin Helsingin politiikasta. Päinvastoin jatkaisin vahvasti Helsingin politiikassa mukana myös kansanedustajana. Ja se työ jatkuu tänäänkin mm. Myllypuro-päivässä @vasemmisto’n teltalla.

Is sugar really that bad for you?
