Guess who had their vet visit? 🐾

Moose! ❤️

Moose went to the vet for a possible broken leg and a full medical workup. After X-rays, it appears his leg was broken at some point in the past and healed incorrectly. While we’re relieved it isn’t a new fracture, it’s heartbreaking to think he was left to live with a broken leg long enough for it to heal on its own without any medical care. Unfortunately, this is how his leg will remain, but it doesn’t stop this sweet boy from enjoying life.

During his visit, Moose also received:

🐾 Microchip
🐾 4DX test (NEGATIVE! 🎉)
🐾 Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention

His vet bill came to $274.51.

Our last six intakes have all required significant medical care, from old injuries and a spay bort procedure to fungal infections, heartworm-positive dogs, and routine care for our long term residents. The bills continue to pile up, and we’re doing everything we can to keep saying “yes” to dogs in need.
