Meet Oumar Faye @pisko_ebene , a very special model part of our 99% cast.

Oumar is a Senegalese model who had to leave his country and start a new life in France as a refugee. He has been in France for a year now and is pursuing his dreams to model while gradually building his career in a new environment.

Oumar is staying at Maison Allanah, which is how we had the opportunity to meet him over the summer and learn about his story. We knew immediately he had to be part of the show. Not just because of his journey and determination, but because he’s so beautiful inside and out.

He’s a wonderful model who fits perfectly in the Matières Fécales world.

It was incredible to be able to give Oumar his Paris debut at Place de La République and enhance the fearless beauty he embodies so deeply with our transformative look.

There are so many stories like Oumar’s and there’s not enough support and resources given to help LGBTQIA+ refugees and asylum seekers from all over the world. He gave us permission to share his story as act of empowerment for others facing similar circumstances to never give up and remind others in this industry to use their platform to help those in need.

It’s a cause very close to our hearts which is why we are donating a portion of all our Ready to Wear and Bespoke Couture sales from this S/S 27 collection to La Maison d’Allanah @maison.allanah , a network of emergency and temporary shelters in the Paris region designed to house, protect, and support vulnerable LGBTQIA+ refugees and human rights exiles.

Most of the pieces from the collection will also have a special label attached explaining our intention and shinning some light on our dear friend and trans activist Allanah Star @missallanahstarr ground breaking organization. This initiative has been in the works for months now so we are thrilled to finally share our partnership together.

As we expand and grow our label, it’s our mission to uplift our community and use our platform to shed light on those who are the most vulnerable.

Thank you Oumar for being so brave and stomping the Paris runway with us🖤

Found something that looks good on me... what do you think? 😉✨
