Around 5, after Suruchi, we were at La Pino’z in Kamla Nagar Market. While waiting for our order, we happened to look out through the glass window on the first floor and saw a funeral procession passing by. There weren’t many people accompanying it. Then, barely five minutes later, a woman came running after the procession, completely undone by grief. She was crying uncontrollably. A few other women followed close behind her. For some reason, I have not been able to get the image of that woman out of my mind. The way she ran after the procession with grief following every naked footstep of hers.
