MISSION.24/7 with a single doubt in my mind this was the toughest thing physically and mentally i have ever done the sign above the start line couldn’t have been any more accurate. For 12 hours at the start of every hour complete a 5km trial run then in the remainder of the hour your team of 5 had to rack up as many metres as possible on the ski erg. The trial run was the most physically demanding 5km you could find how some guys ran that at sub 20 minutes is frightening it was nothing but hill after hill and the terrain was rocks boulders and gravel you literally had to concentrate on every single step you took then the heat of the sun the constant flys and midges landing on your face made it so much harder.

I am so happy to have completed all 12 runs with all the injury’s I’ve had I’d of never of dreamt I could have run 60km. In the run up to this event I was so close to pulling out a few times if it wasn’t for a small handful of people believing in me you know who you are guys. I was in a world of pain from about the 4th run but I was never gonna quit my runs got slower and slower the down hill was hurting me more than the up hill @xxbeccaxxarchiegoochxx turned up with my knee strap and ran a lap with me that give me a boost so thank you love. Massive shout out to my team mates @ricky_burns_8838 @harvey_gotts @lewisaddison1995 @amyfish_ all absolute animals these guys also pulled me through. Seeing the @kitchenmiles and @marcus_mbg at the start of each 5km also pulled me through the cowboy shouting my name telling me am on a PB on every lap and that I’m a ultra runner now 🤣. I want to give @nickfitbox a special thank you for asking me to be on his team and giving me this amazing opportunity I’m so grateful to take part in such a huge event his belief and encouragement also pulled me through and a massive thank you to all the fitbox team @fitboxbuckshaw @fitboxhorwich the support crew on the day the team work from everyone the organisation of everything was spot on, everything these guys do weather it’s a comp/sim/event always runs like clockwork with every attention to detail covered. All the pain and suffering was worth it in the end 🙌🏻
