2 months agoIIRC, didn't Ape Escape also have a bit of a modern claim to fame by introducing dual-stick as a concept? Not modern, but reminded me of it when you mentioned C-16

2 months agoGames need to do this. The tutorial gives you no prompt on which button controls which action and leaves it up to first three presses or something like that. In the modern day you always put a custom mapping option to change things later, but I think this helps with the problem of NEEDING a map controls option. Thoughts?
2 months agothat's a really interesting point man, you know what it might be, I think first person has always felt like it was designed with a keyboard mouse in mind so nailing it on gamepad felt like a real 'oh shit, we finally did it' kinda moment. But third person, even to this day I imagine most people prefer playing third person games on a controller over kb/m. So its not something we talk about as much. I forgot about the 'look at the light' to configure your invert options, halo did that too iirc, such a cool lil touch
