It can be nerve wracking to start something new, in any context. We’ve heard the feedback before from comrades of ours that it initially felt intimidating to DM or email and show up without knowing anyone else present. That’s valid tbh. Kinda hard to get a vibe check on a faceless emoji head. Our advice would be, bring a buddy! Or lean into the awkwardness of an unfamiliar experience.
What you DO know is what already unites us, our shared values of serving and empowering the unhoused community of Boston. We’re happy to give you a full rundown of what your time with us will look like on a Thursday or a Sunday so you know what to expect and feel prepared to put your (close toed) boots on and hit the road with us!
We also have lots of different options for what volunteering could look like! Reduced walking routes, remote options for if you’re having a low spoons day physically. Every capacity and capability is welcome and we’d love to meet you :-)
ALSO if you can’t come in person but you like what we do, we’d so appreciate a gift from you to our kofi! At the top of our page. Hope to see you soon lovelies <3
