We are thrilled to welcome Yu Lin, our @the_fulbright_program Scholar-in-Residence, to the National Archives! 👋

Yu Lin is researching an often overlooked challenge in preservation: the long-term effects of correction materials like fluids and tapes on paper-based archives.

Hosting Fulbright scholars through our @statedept partnership is vital to our mission to ensure high-quality preservation standards are applied to our holdings. Research partnerships help us anticipate future preservation risks and provide evidence-based guidance for the archivists and conservators who care for our records globally.

This is fascinating—something as ordinary as correction tape can become a major preservation problem. Important work.

That's really interesting! I'd never considered how correction fluid would impact preservation and material stability.
