One year ago, we watched as you were crowned Miss South Carolina Teen Volunteer. Tonight, we watch you take your final walk, and what a year it has been. 💖
Baby girl, what an incredible journey. From the countless miles traveled, hours of preparation, appearances, challenges, fundraisers, laughter, tears, and the lives you’ve impacted along the way, you’ve embraced every opportunity with grace, purpose, and determination.
Because of your heart and hard work, you earned a Top 10 finish at Miss Teen Volunteer America, became a proud member of the St. Jude Leadership Society, built lifelong friendships, and, most importantly, grew into an even more confident, compassionate, and inspiring young woman.
Your crown may be passed on tonight, but your impact will last far beyond this year. We know you’ve had the time of your life, and we’ll forever cherish having a front-row seat to watch your confidence grow and your heart for service shine.
To the Miss South Carolina Volunteer family, thank you for believing in our girl, encouraging her, and loving her so well. The lessons, memories, and friendships from this year are gifts our family will treasure forever.
Mattie, we love you endlessly and are so thankful God chose us to be your parents. We can’t wait to see where He leads you next. This may be the end of your year with the crown, but it’s only the beginning of the incredible story He has for you. We’ll always be your biggest cheerleaders. ❤️
