Kidney Transplant Recipient 11.04.2025 | Saved by God and my Living Donor @justinjamespitts | PKD Warrior | Donate Life 💚 1 Peter 4:10
POSTS STORIES REELS
Today I’m praising God for the number 410, the number marking my kidney transplant at Prisma Health Transplant Center-Greenville. The Lord pointed me to 1 Peter 4:10, which says “God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” ‭‭ It brings tears to my eyes, knowing that this transplant is a gift of Gods grace, and I pray that my life will continue to reflect this verse. May I use every breath to serve, love and glorify Him! 🙏🏼💚 I also want to update that my two-week follow-up went amazing! My doctors are thrilled with my recovery, I’m getting stronger every single day. My numbers look incredible: creatinine is 0.72 and my kidney function is over 90%. Isaac has been taking such good care of me, and Justin is doing great and improving every day. We can truly feel your prayers. Thank you all so much for lifting us up. Love y’all! 🙏🏼💚 #transplantjourney #kidneyrecipient #pkdwarrior #giftoflife #donatelife #gratefulheart #faithandhealing #organdonationsaveslives #sharinghope by @sommertimestp
Sometimes God weaves stories together in ways we could never imagine. Today, I want to take a moment to thank my incredible living donor, Justin Pitts. Justin and I met through our church, and he was coaching my son’s basketball team when I was added to the transplant list. Somewhere in the middle of basketball games, practices, and everyday life, God was already writing a much bigger story. After hearing about my need for a kidney, Justin listened to God’s calling and responded. He stepped forward in faith, without hesitation, and offered the most selfless gift a person can give, the gift of life. Justin, your faithfulness, courage, and compassion will change our lives forever. You are a true steward of God’s love, a hero in every sense of the word, and living proof of what it means to say “yes” when God calls. To your amazing family, thank you for standing beside him with such love and grace. Your strength, sacrifice, and support are part of this miracle too and I’m extremely grateful. Because of all of you, I get to experience life in a brand new way, and I’ll spend the rest of my days thanking God for the way He worked through you. This week, we’re walking into a miracle, one that started on a basketball court and continues through God’s grace and the incredible heart of a faithful friend and brother in Christ. To our community, thank you for your support, love, and prayers. Please remember us on Tuesday, November 4, our miracle day! 🙏🏼💚 #donatelife #miracleday #livingdonor #pkdwarrior #sharinghope #hopeheals #transplantjourney 📸: @jessej5158 ❤️ by @sommertimestp

Mattie, One year ago, we watched as you were crowned Miss South Carolina Teen Volunteer. Tonight, we watch you take your final walk, and what a year it has been. 💖 Baby girl, what an incredible journey. From the countless miles traveled, hours of preparation, appearances, challenges, fundraisers, laughter, tears, and the lives you’ve impacted along the way, you’ve embraced every opportunity with grace, purpose, and determination. Because of your heart and hard work, you earned a Top 10 finish at Miss Teen Volunteer America, became a proud member of the St. Jude Leadership Society, built lifelong friendships, and, most importantly, grew into an even more confident, compassionate, and inspiring young woman. Your crown may be passed on tonight, but your impact will last far beyond this year. We know you’ve had the time of your life, and we’ll forever cherish having a front-row seat to watch your confidence grow and your heart for service shine. To the Miss South Carolina Volunteer family, thank you for believing in our girl, encouraging her, and loving her so well. The lessons, memories, and friendships from this year are gifts our family will treasure forever. Mattie, we love you endlessly and are so thankful God chose us to be your parents. We can’t wait to see where He leads you next. This may be the end of your year with the crown, but it’s only the beginning of the incredible story He has for you. We’ll always be your biggest cheerleaders. ❤️ Love always, Mama, Daddy & Mason by @sommertimestp
What a sweet and special weekend celebrating Carlie and Luke! 🤍 It has been such an honor to watch the Lord work in their lives and bring them to this moment. Carlie was truly such a beautiful bride, and their ceremony was so meaningful and beautiful. Every detail of the day was absolutely perfect. It’s so evident that these two are best friends, and that makes their love even more special. We had a blast celebrating and dancing the night away at the reception! My heart is so full after this unforgettable weekend. Wishing Mr. and Mrs. Robinson a lifetime of love, joy, and God’s blessings. We love you both! by @sommertimestp
Thankful for the encouragement, leadership, and memories that Mason made at Dabo Camp! 🐅🏈🧡 #allin #clemsonfootball #clemsonfamily #byog by @sommertimestp
Masons 6th grade year brought so many new experiences: a new school, incredible teachers, new friendships, and all the challenges that come with stepping into middle school. While navigating all of those changes, he also walked beside our family through one of the hardest and most uncertain seasons as we faced my health journey and kidney transplant this year. Mason showed courage, kindness, resilience, and maturity far beyond his years. He achieved: All A Honor Roll, Excellence in Social Studies, Beta Club Awards, and the incredible honor of receiving the ALL WREN Medal, nominated by Mrs. Reeves. Mason, your hard work and character shine brighter than any award ever could. We are beyond proud of you and can’t wait to see all God has planned for your future. We love you!! 💙💛 by @sommertimestp
My heart is so full today. 💙💚 Nearly 6 months after my kidney transplant, Justin (my incredible donor) and I were able to walk/run our first 5K together since that life-changing day. Being surrounded by nearly 500 people, including 35 “Tater Trotters,” the amazing Prisma transplant team, and many transplant donors and recipients, made the morning even more special. It wasn’t just about the race, it was about gratitude, healing, and celebrating this gift of life with the people who have carried us through every step of the journey. From the prayers to the encouragement, we have felt so much love. Praise Jesus for this gift of life. I’m thankful for every single day, and hopeful this is just the beginning of many more milestones to come. 🏃🏽‍♀️ Thank you all for being part of our story, we couldn’t have done it without you. #giftoflife #donatelife #kidneytransplantrecipient #livingdonor #sharinghope by @sommertimestp
