"I chased this tiger for many years. Then THIS happened. For many years, I had searched for him. Imagined this moment. Hoped our paths would cross. And then, this year, the forests of Tadoba finally gave me what I had been waiting for. Y Mark. One of the most elusive and imposing male tigers of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. We had guessed he might emerge from a particular spot in the dense green forest. There was no guarantee, just patience, instinct and hope. And suddenly, there he was, stepping out exactly where we thought he might appear. After many years of hoping to encounter him, I was finally watching him walk in front of me. Look at his sheer size, those powerful shoulders, his muscular frame and the effortless confidence in every step. He carries a presence that is difficult to describe. He does not need to roar to command attention. His very presence speaks volumes. And then, he looked straight at me. For a few seconds, everything else disappeared. My camera was rolling, but my hands were trembling so much that I had to cut a few seconds of that moment from the footage. Imagine chasing a dream for over a decade, only to struggle to hold your camera steady when it finally stands before you! That is the magic of wildlife photography. You can study tiger behaviour, learn forest trails and spend years searching for a particular tiger, but nothing prepares you for the emotion of meeting him in the wild. Y Mark reminded me why I keep returning to Tadoba, why patience matters and why no two tiger sightings are ever the same. This was more than a tiger encounter. It was a dream finally becoming real.
