I walked into the new year carrying more than just a fresh calendar. I walked in with a Master’s in Social Work 🎓✨
with an additional certificate in Gerontology and Palliative Care and officially graduated January 2026.

This journey was not easy. It was late nights, early mornings, exhaustion, prayers whispered through tears, and still showing up. It was balancing textbooks and bedtime routines. Papers and parenting. Purpose and perseverance. Mommyhood and grad school at the same time and somehow by God’s grace I made it.

First and always, I thank God. There were moments I had no strength left and He carried me through. Every door opened, every ounce of endurance, every finished assignment was because of Him.
“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me” Psalm 138:8.

To my family 🤍 thank you for the prayers, the support, the sacrifices, and the love that carried me when I felt tired and overwhelmed. I would not be here without you.

To my son 🤍 thank you for being my why. Every sacrifice was for you. Every moment I wanted to quit I looked at you and kept going. You made me stronger than I ever knew I could be. Mommy did this for us.

This moment is bigger than me. I now stand in the percentage of Black women who have earned a Master’s degree. A reminder that representation matters and that breaking barriers matters not just for me but for those coming after me.

This degree is more than letters after my name. It is a calling placed on my life. A commitment to serve, to honor life at every stage, and to show up with compassion for those who need it most.

Walking into 2026 changed, grounded, grateful, and covered by grace.

I did it. We did it 🥹🎓✨
All glory to God.

25 was the season of unlearning.
26 is the season of becoming. ✨

Soft where I once had to be strong.
Confident in who God is calling me to be.
Loving fully. Loving freely.
Covered by His grace. Grounded in His truth.

Stepping into this new year with quiet confidence, unwavering faith, and a heart surrendered to Him.

The becoming is beautiful. 🤍. #nobu #nobutokyo #birthday #08/02 #explorepage✨ taken in Nobu Tokyo by @theonlymainattraction
