The past six months have been some of the most healing, refining, stretching, and grace-filled months of our lives.
We spent a month back home in Georgia with our family, watched Selah grow into the sweetest three-and-a-half-month-old, and took our first real vacation in years where I didn’t even bring my laptop. If you know me, you know that alone was a miracle. 😂
We also had the honor of leading and preaching at our best friends’ Centered Youth Conference in San Marcos, Texas. It was our first ministry assignment since January, and it’s hard to explain what that weekend meant to us.
We walked into it after navigating one of the greatest challenges and transitions our family has ever faced, but we were surrounded by people who covered us with mercy, grace, kindness, support, and belief. So many of them are pictured here, and so many aren’t, but we will never forget the people who loved us when we needed it most.
Then, in a turn we definitely did not have on our 2026 bingo card, we packed up our lives and moved to the Bay Area to join @echochurchlive as the new @echo.students pastors at their North San Jose campus.
God answered a huge and bold prayer through Pastors @filipesantos and @mandysantos , @sarahannrogers and @williamjrogers , @davidramirez____ , @steven_zeier , and so many others. They didn’t just look at our family as an asset to their church—they committed to making a real investment into the health, growth, and healing of our family.
There is so much more to the story and how God orchestrated all of this. Maybe one day we’ll tell it. But right now, we’re simply grateful for the mercy and grace of a God who chooses to use us in spite of us.
And somehow, less than a month after saying yes, we took more than 130 students and leaders to summer camp. We had under a month to help pull it together, and when we first said yes, fewer than 30 students were registered.
Needless to say…GOD COOKED. 😂🔥
We’ve already tasted and seen His goodness more than we deserve, and we can’t wait to see what He does next.
