POSTS STORIES REELS

Mom and dad era💕 by @wrightjude

🍋 This first photo wrecks me.

On my knees behind my wife as she gives a word to our students — easily my favorite photo of us ever taken.

Because this moment is the story.

After everything we’ve walked through these past 3 years… the heartbreak, the loss, the disappointment — to taste and see the Lord’s goodness again when we truly didn’t know if we would… I’m undone.

The anointing she carries is something I’ll never be able to explain. The way she hears from heaven, leads with authority, and loves with purity — she’ll forever be greater than me. I’ll always be the one in the background, just in awe of who God created her to be.

A year and a half ago, we stepped into Shoreline Youth with 30 students in the room. This week, 373 students checked in. 17 were duplicates — which means 356 students were in the room. That’s not hype. That’s not strategy. That’s not us.

That’s God. Only God.

COLORWAY wasn’t just our biggest night.

It was a full-circle moment. A God kept us moment. A reminder that His promises still stand — even when it feels like everything around us is falling apart.

I’m just grateful to still be in the story. by @wrightjude

// our little lady bug’s first trick or treat —— little did she know, she was the trick so dad could get treats and mom could get pictures! 🐞 by @wrightjude

🗣️ THE LOUDEST MESSAGE YOU PREACH IS THE LIFE YOU LIVE —— If the gospel has transformed our lives, people should be able to see it.

James 3:13 challenges us to show wisdom through the way we live, with humility. Following Jesus should show up in our group chats, our stories, our attitudes, and our willingness to serve.

Sometimes that looks like seeing a need and jumping in without being asked. Sometimes it’s owning our attitude and apologizing without making excuses. Sometimes it’s loving someone even when it’s inconvenient or won’t boost our popularity.

When the grace of Jesus takes hold of our hearts, it begins to change how we treat people.

Echo Students fam, our prayer is that what we say we believe would actually show up in how we live. That the people at our schools, in our homes, and in our friend groups would experience the love of Jesus through how we show up for them.

Here’s the challenge: If someone just watched your life on mute this week, what would they learn about the Jesus you say you follow?

Jesus, keep changing our hearts. Let people see You in how we love and how we serve.

// SAN JOSE — SEND NIGHT IS ALMOST HERE!

On THURSDAY October 8, we’re gathering at Echo Church North San Jose Campus for a night to encounter Jesus, respond to His call, and be activated to live on mission.

Don’t underestimate what God can do through a simple, “Come with me.” Think about the friend you’ve been praying for, the coworker walking through a hard season, or the person who’s been asking questions about faith. You don’t have to have all the answers to invite them into a space where they can encounter Jesus. Your invitation could become part of their story.

Join @andybyrd1 , @angelahalili from @girlsgonebible , @circuitridermusic , @mitchwongmusic , and more guests as we lift up Jesus, worship together, and call a generation to live fully surrendered to Him.

// August just had us grateful —— for grace, restoration, redemption, marriage, parenting, friends, our church, and ministry. Thank you Jesus. by @wrightjude

// I don’t even know if I have the words for what God did Wednesday night ———

After everything 2026 has held for our family — the stretching, the surrender, the goodbyes, the move across the country, the starting over, the questions, the prayers — I found myself standing in a room this week fighting back tears completely in awe of God.

// A month and a half ago, we stepped into completely uncertainty just an answered prayer into a new city, a new church, a new assignment, and a student ministry in a region we barely knew.

// And Wednesday night, 300+ students and leaders packed the room for HYPE NIGHT.

But the number isn’t what has me emotional.

// It’s knowing that our first week hear we asked what are we doing, I mean we had to ask our students stand during worship.

// It’s watching students bring their friends.

It’s hearing a room full of teenagers chanting the name of Jesus before the doors even opened and worship even started.

// It’s watching students worship with freedom.

It’s seeing students weep as they responded to Jesus.

It’s watching leaders pour themselves out to create a place where a generation knows, you belong here.

// I’ve spent years doing student ministry in the Bible Belt, and what would normally take 6–8 months to build relationally and culturally, we’ve watched God begin to do in a month and a half — in the most spiritually unreached regions of our country.

// You cannot manufacture that.

You cannot strategy your way into that.

You cannot take credit for that.

We didn’t execute a hyped up marketing plan, just Jesus.

// That is the grace of God.

And maybe one of the greatest lessons God has been teaching me this year is that obedience doesn’t always make sense while you’re walking it out.

// Sometimes you leave what is familiar before you can see what is waiting for you.

Sometime you center a valley to let your faith move a bigger mountain.

// Sometimes you say yes while there are still a hundred unanswered questions.

Sometimes God asks you to surrender something good because He knows what He wants to entrust to you next.

// Wednesday night felt like one of those moments where God quietly reminded us:

// LIFE LATELY ——

The past six months have been some of the most healing, refining, stretching, and grace-filled months of our lives.

We spent a month back home in Georgia with our family, watched Selah grow into the sweetest three-and-a-half-month-old, and took our first real vacation in years where I didn’t even bring my laptop. If you know me, you know that alone was a miracle. 😂

We also had the honor of leading and preaching at our best friends’ Centered Youth Conference in San Marcos, Texas. It was our first ministry assignment since January, and it’s hard to explain what that weekend meant to us.

We walked into it after navigating one of the greatest challenges and transitions our family has ever faced, but we were surrounded by people who covered us with mercy, grace, kindness, support, and belief. So many of them are pictured here, and so many aren’t, but we will never forget the people who loved us when we needed it most.

Then, in a turn we definitely did not have on our 2026 bingo card, we packed up our lives and moved to the Bay Area to join @echochurchlive as the new @echo.students pastors at their North San Jose campus.

God answered a huge and bold prayer through Pastors @filipesantos and @mandysantos , @sarahannrogers and @williamjrogers , @davidramirez____ , @steven_zeier , and so many others. They didn’t just look at our family as an asset to their church—they committed to making a real investment into the health, growth, and healing of our family.

There is so much more to the story and how God orchestrated all of this. Maybe one day we’ll tell it. But right now, we’re simply grateful for the mercy and grace of a God who chooses to use us in spite of us.

And somehow, less than a month after saying yes, we took more than 130 students and leaders to summer camp. We had under a month to help pull it together, and when we first said yes, fewer than 30 students were registered.

Needless to say…GOD COOKED. 😂🔥

We’ve already tasted and seen His goodness more than we deserve, and we can’t wait to see what He does next.

JESUS IS IN THE BAY!

// My first Father’s Day —— 9 weeks into being Selah’s dad and I still feel like I’m getting introduced to a whole new version of myself.

Father’s Day was always a weird one for me growing up. I never really knew what to do with it. It was one of those days that quietly reminded me of what was missing, even when I didn’t have the words for it yet.

I grew up without a father, so there are moments in this season that have felt really tender. Not in a sad way all the time, but in a “God is touching places I didn’t know still needed healing” kind of way.

Fatherhood has already exposed me and formed me.

It has shown me how selfish I can be when I’m tired. How much patience I still need. How much I dont know it all. How quickly my heart melts over the smallest little sounds and facial expressions. How holy it feels to be needed by someone who can’t say thank you yet. How much of parenting is just being present in the moments no one else sees.

The late nights, the diapers, the pacing around the room, the burps, the farts, the smirks after poopy diapers, the spit ups, the smiles, the praying over her while she sleeps, the moments where I have no idea what I’m doing… all of it has become this quiet “Selah” place where the Lord keeps meeting me.

And maybe one of the sweetest parts is realizing I’m not just learning how to be a dad.

I’m learning more of what it means to be fathered by God.

Selah, being your dad is already one of the greatest and most cherished honors of my life.

Cary, thank you for making letting join dad gang and making me a okay dad by being the greatest mother.

God, thank You for this kind of grace. by @wrightjude
