Youth Mentorship

Yesterday was more than a Back to School Bash. It was the official beginning of Passion to Purpose.

There were so many moments I wanted to give up. I was overwhelmed, stressed, and honestly wondering how I was going to pull everything together. A lot of what I thought I could depend on fell through, and I found myself carrying this vision almost entirely on my own.

But God.

When I didn’t know where the volunteers would come from, they came. When I didn’t know where the partnerships would come from, they came. I planned for a few volunteer shirts and ended up needing 12…and still ran out. That’s the kind of God I serve. He will provide beyond what you can see.

I’m so thankful to my family, friends, volunteers, Mike Jenkins, Selvin Young, and everyone who showed up, served, donated, encouraged, and believed in this mission. You helped turn what could’ve been a simple backpack giveaway into a true community event.

This experience also taught me something I’ll carry with me forever: everyone who shares your vision isn’t meant to help build it. Yesterday reminded me that if God gave you the vision, He’ll also make a way. Even when you can’t see it yet.

This is only the beginning. Passion to Purpose is here, and we’re just getting started.
