Not the clapping, not the posters. The five things nurses carry every shift that nobody outside a hospital ever sees. They are the ones in the room when it happens, holding the hand at three in the morning and washing the body afterwards before walking to the next bed and smiling. They are hit, literally, with a recent survey of over a thousand nurses and midwives in this country finding almost nine in ten had experienced or witnessed violence at work in the past six months and one in twenty five had been choked. They do not eat, drink or go to the toilet, holding their bladder for six hours because there was nobody to watch their patients. They are blamed for a system they did not build, absorbing the anger for decisions made three floors above them by people who have never emptied a bedpan. And they go home and carry it, the child who did not make it and the old man who died alone, then walk in the door and someone asks what is for dinner. You are the reason hospitals work. Not the buildings, not the machines, not us. You. ❤️
Nurses, tell me what I have missed. Comment the toughest thing you endure that nobody talks about, I will read every one, and share this with a nurse who has never been thanked properly.

US immigration agents searched the home of Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar on Monday morning as part of a "criminal investigation".

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents "executed a judicially authorized search warrant" for the home in the Washington, DC, area, a US justice department spokesperson told the BBC.

The search "is part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation," the spokesperson said but no further details were given.

Omar was born in Somalia and came to the US aged eight fleeing war.

First elected to Congress in 2018, she is running for reelection next month, and is an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump.

#ChrisBrown’s former housekeeper is not playing around when it comes to the money she’s owed.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Maria Avila is asking a judge to issue an arrest warrant after accusing Chris of making it difficult for her to collect the $9 million she was awarded following a 2020 dog att@ck at his #LosAngeles mansion. Avila claims the singer has repeatedly failed to provide dates to appear in court with his bank records, which she needs to examine his finances and determine how to collect the money.

Avila also alleges that the financial information Chris has already provided is incomplete, saying it “calls into question the accuracy and completeness of [Chris’] disclosure with respect to payment sources associated with his ongoing tour.” As previously reported, Avila claimed she was att@cked by one of Chris’ dogs while taking out the trash. A jury initially awarded her $13 million, but a judge later reduced the amount to $9 million, which she accepted. Now, she’s seeking court intervention as she attempts to collect the judgment.
