13 days agoHere is the brief explanation - This is the whole GOSPEL in 5 passages: *1 Corinthians 15:1-5 - What is the Gospel?* Paul says this is of _first importance_: 1. *Christ died for our sins* according to Scriptures 2. *He was buried* - proving He really died 3. *He was raised on the 3rd day* according to Scriptures 4. *He appeared* - to Peter, the 12, and many - proving He is alive. This Gospel you received, you stand on, and you are saved by it if you hold fast. *Romans 10:9-13 - How to be Saved?* Very simple: - *Believe in your heart* that God raised Jesus from the dead = results in RIGHTEOUSNESS - *Confess with your mouth* Jesus as LORD = results in SALVATION Anyone - Jew or Greek - who does this will not be disappointed. Because the same Lord is rich to all who call on Him. *"Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."* *1 Timothy 3:16 - The Mystery of Godliness* Great is the mystery - God Himself came: Revealed in flesh (Jesus came as man), Vindicated in Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory. God became man so man can be saved. *1 Peter 3:18 - Why He Died* Christ died *once for all* - one time is enough. The JUST (Jesus) for the UNJUST (us), so that He might *bring us to God*. He was put to death in flesh, but made alive in Spirit. His death removed the wall between us and God. *Hebrews 7:23-25 - He Saves Forever* Old priests died, so they had to be replaced. But Jesus lives forever, so His priesthood is permanent. Therefore *He is able to save FOREVER* those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for us. *Summary: Jesus died for you, was buried, rose again, and if you believe in your heart and confess Him as Lord, He will save you FOREVER because He lives forever to pray for you.*
