I'm proud to present the official trailer for my new chamber opera Death of a Clerk!

Ivan Ilich Cherdyakov, clerk in the Ministry of Public Parks, while watching a play with his wife, accidentally sneezes on the head of his superior, setting off a chain of events that culminates in his frantic, tragicomic downfall.

Two beloved members of my family have been crucial to the making of this opera: the libretto was written by my late grandfather, Albert Cohen (based on the short story by Chekhov), and the lead female role is sung by my sister, Noot.

The complete video of the world premiere will be released on YouTube soon. I hope you enjoy this first look at the production!
