A Tennessee mother is facing multiple criminal charges after allegedly driving her vehicle off a cliff with her two children inside, leaving the car overturned near railroad tracks. Chase Ryan Klinedinst, 30, was arrested Monday, October 12, on an outstanding warrant connected to the September 7 crash in Chattanooga. She faces charges of driving under the influence, vehicular a$$ault, and two counts of child neglect. According to an arrest affidavit, Klinedinst was traveling along Stuart Street around 8:30 p.m. when she reached a d*ad end. Investigators allege she continued down a dirt path before driving over Coffey’s Cliff, causing the vehicle to plunge approximately 20 to 25 feet. The car landed upside down near railroad tracks, with both children still secured in their safety seats. One child reportedly suffered a fractured forearm and pulmonary contusions, which are bruises to the lungs. Authorities also discovered an empty wine bottle inside the vehicle and an unopened bottle in the passenger compartment. Investigators reported that Klinedinst displayed signs of intoxication following the crash, including slurred speech and the smell of alcohol. She also allegedly became combative with emergency medical personnel. The arrest affidavit states, “Klinedinst’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was extremely impaired and was a major contributing factor in the crash.” Klinedinst was ultimately taken into custody more than a month after the incident. The reported allegations have resulted in criminal charges, but her guilt has not been established in court. Thank goodness the children were okay🙏🏾

🇺🇸🚨 Noise cameras are starting to target loud cars across the U.S., using microphones, video cameras, and license-plate readers to identify the vehicle responsible for excessive sound. ⠀ The systems can isolate where the noise came from, capture the vehicle on video, and record its plate after a preset sound threshold is exceeded. ⠀ New York City is already one of the most aggressive examples, operating 12 noise cameras in 2025 that recorded 15,994 noise events and resulted in 1,691 summonses. ⠀ For excessive muffler noise in NYC, penalties can start at $800 and climb as high as $2,625 including default penalties. ⠀ Other cities have taken different approaches, with some issuing citations, some sending warnings, and others still running pilots to determine how accurately the cameras can identify one loud vehicle in traffic. ⠀ For enthusiasts running aftermarket exhausts, straight pipes, crackle tunes, or especially loud setups, roadside sound enforcement could become another thing to watch for alongside speed and red-light cameras. ⠀ Would noise cameras make you think twice about running a loud exhaust on the street? ⠀ What are your thoughts? 🤔💭 ⠀ FOLLOW ➡️ @hypewhip for more automotive news and car culture! 🤝🏎️ ⠀ #cars #carculture #exhaust #racing #automotivenews
