DAY 6-SDG 6: CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION

I remember how something as simple as getting clean water could become a serious task. You wake up, pick up a container and start looking for where water is available.

Sometimes, even after walking a long distance, you are still not sure whether the water you found is safe to drink.

For millions of people around the world, this is still their reality.

SDG 6 is about ensuring access to clean water, sanitation and proper hygiene for everyone.

The UN estimates that billions of people still lack safely managed water and sanitation, and we are not moving fast enough to achieve universal access by 2030.

And this is bigger than water.

When people lack clean water, children can miss school. Families become exposed to preventable diseases.

Women and girls often carry the greatest burden of searching for water. Communities struggle to stay healthy and productive.

This is why clean water must be treated as a basic human need, not a privilege.

Governments must invest in sustainable water systems. Communities must protect their water sources.

Individuals must use water responsibly. And the international community must continue supporting countries that need the resources to close the gap.

Because behind every statistic is a person.

A child. A mother. A family. A community.

Clean water saves lives. Sanitation protects dignity. Access to both gives people a better chance to thrive.

DAY 4 — SDG 4: QUALITY EDUCATION 📚

Quality education is more than saying, “I went to school.”

Growing up in the in one of the most interior rural part of Africa, some of us wrote on the floor, shared limited learning materials, and sometimes had one teacher handling several subjects. The goal was simply to attend school because there was no better option.

But today, we must demand more.

Nigeria still has millions of out-of-school children, with insecurity, poverty, displacement and social barriers keeping many children, especially girls out school.

When a child is denied quality education, we don't just lose a student; we lose a potential innovator, professional, entrepreneur and leader that can transform our society.

Achieving SDG 4 requires collective action.

Government must invest in quality and affordable education, security of our pupils, Train Teachers and provide technology and learning resources.

NGOs, communities and individuals must also step forward to support vulnerable children.

Education is not a privilege. It is a right.

The question is not only “How many children are in school?” but:
“How many are actually receiving the quality education they deserve?”

The education gap is everyone's responsibility. What will you do to close it?

My name is Happy T Vincent
Ambassador of Peace advocate.

DAY 2

SDG 2: ZERO HUNGER-CAN WE REALLY END HUNGER BY 2030?

Hunger is one of the most devastating realities eating away at our society.

In 2015, the United Nations adopted the Sustainable Development Goals, with SDG 2: Zero Hunger calling for an end to hunger, improved nutrition and sustainable agriculture by 2030.

But today, the reality remains painful. About 645 million people globally are still facing serious hunger, about 35 million people are facing acute food insecurity in Nigeria.

Behind these numbers are real families.

A mother wakes up with nothing to cook. Her children ask, “Mummy, when are we eating?” She tells them to wait, hoping someone will help.

In some communities across Nigeria and other parts of Africa, children go to bed hungry, miss school because there's nothing to eat. some even suffer life-threatening conditions simply because they do not have enough food to eat.

For many families, hunger is not caused by a lack of willingness to work.

Insecurity destroys farms. Climate shocks destroy harvests. Unemployment reduces income. Rising food prices make basic meals unaffordable and many other factors.

Now, what is the way out?

We must invest in fighting insecurity, increase food production, assist farmers, fund irrigation, provide jobs for our youths, Invest in social protection and peace building.

We must protect farming communities and make food affordable and accessible to vulnerable families.

Zero Hunger is possible, but only if we act now.

Because no child should have to cry for food.

No mother should have to choose who to eat in the house and who to endure.

And no family should have to go to bed hungry.

SDG 2 is not just a global target. It is a human responsibility and it's archievable.

Can the Sustainable Development Goals truly be achieved by 2030?

As I reflected on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the rapid growth of the world's population, one question kept coming to mind: Can these goals realistically be achieved by 2030?

The United Nations continues to make remarkable efforts to ensure that every person, regardless of where they live, has access to basic human rights, quality education, healthcare, food security, and a decent standard of living. However, achieving these goals requires more than global commitment, it demands the active cooperation of every nation.

One challenge I believe deserves more attention is unregulated population growth.

As populations increase, the pressure on education, healthcare, housing, food systems, employment, and other essential services also grows. This makes the achievement of the SDGs even more difficult, especially in countries with limited resources.

This raises a question worth discussing:

Should the world begin a global conversation about policies that encourage responsible and sustainable population planning, while respecting human rights and national sovereignty?

I'm not suggesting a simple answer, but I believe this is a conversation we can no longer ignore if we are serious about building a sustainable future for generations to come.

What are your thoughts?

From ₦27,000 to ₦50,000?

How many Nigerian families can truly afford to pay ₦50,000 for a single child's WAEC or NECO registration in today's harsh economic reality?

In 2013, I remember how difficult it was for me to register for the NECO examination, which cost ₦8,500 at the time. Because of the financial struggle, I was determined to pass at once because I knew raising that amount again for a re-sit would not be easy.

I also remember that some of my classmates could not register for either WAEC or NECO simply because their parents could not afford the fees.

Sadly, many brilliant dreams were delayed, not because of a lack of intelligence, but because of poverty.

Today, with the proposed increase from ₦27,000 to ₦50,000, one question remains:

Are we making education more accessible, or gradually placing it beyond the reach of children from low-income families?

Education is not a privilege reserved for the wealthy. It is a fundamental right guaranteed to every Nigerian child. No child should be denied the opportunity to sit for a national examination because of financial hardship.

I respectfully appeal to the Federal Government to review this decision and ensure that quality education remains affordable and accessible to every Nigerian, regardless of social or economic background.

I acknowledge that my home state, Taraba State, may not feel the immediate impact of this development because of the commendable efforts of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, whose administration has continued to prioritize access to education.

Finally, I humbly call on the Father of the Nation, #PresidentBolaAhmedTinubu, to listen to the cries of ordinary Nigerians and take steps to make education affordable-if not free for every child in our nation.

I am Amb. Vincent T. Happy.

When a nation chooses to act, criminals have nowhere left to hide.

Yesterday, following the successful operation against the kidnappers who held the Oriire schoolchildren in Oyo State captive for over 50 days, we witnessed both victory and sacrifice.

Unfortunately, a Nigerian Army lieutenant paid the ultimate price during the rescue mission.

We must commend the courage, professionalism, and coordination displayed by our security agencies throughout this operation.

It was precise, strategic, and effective.

This operation has once again shown that Nigeria possesses the capability, intelligence, and equipment needed to confront banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of terrorism.

What we need is for our security agencies to be allowed to carry out their duties independently, without political interference.

It is heartbreaking that lives were lost-from the mathematics teacher who was brutally murdered by the kidnappers to the Nigerian Army lieutenant who died while working to rescue the victims.

Their sacrifices should never be forgotten.

May those behind this evil syndicate be identified, arrested, and made to face the full weight of the law.

May the souls of those who lost their lives rest in perfect peace, and may God continue to strengthen and protect the brave men and women who risk their lives daily to keep our nation safe.

You have an advantage; don't try to figure everything out by yourself. The Holy Spirit is our advantage.

The next step in life may not be clear to you, but there's a God who knew your future before you were formed.

Why not seek Him for clarity? Do it now.

I am Happy T Vincent. I know there's another realm that no eye has seen, no ear has heard, nor has it come into the mind of anyone, says the Lord.

There's greatness in you. Have a wonderful weekend. by @passion_multimedia_

Every conflict we see today started as a problem that was ignored-hunger, disease, poor healthcare, and poverty. When people are left without hope, frustration grows, and if nothing is done, it can eventually lead to conflict and insecurity.

That's why the work of Nation First Foundation (NFF) matters. Our recent outreach wasn't just about fighting malaria; it was about reaching people, listening to their stories, and understanding the challenges they face.

As someone passionate about conflict management and peacebuilding, I wasn't there only to take pictures. I was there to listen, learn, and document stories that deserve to be heard.

I believe peace begins with listening.

If you're an NGO, government agency, or organization making a difference in communities, I'd love to help tell your story through professional photography, videography, documentation, and strategic communication.

He is such a cheerful and intelligent little boy.

He walked up to me with a big smile and said, "Uncle, my birthday is on Sunday!" That simple sentence melted my heart.

It reminded me that sometimes, the smallest moments create the biggest memories.

This is why I love what I do. Every smile has a story, and every photograph preserves a moment that can never be repeated.
