Building bridges for a stronger Neighborhood 🚗🛣️✨
Members of the ECWA Board recently met for a direct, collaborative dialogue with Councilwoman Heather Hutt (@cd10heatherhutt). The meeting focused on key issues directly impacting the daily lives of residents in our district, including:
🚦 Transportation & Infrastructure: Enhancing street safety, public transit efficiency, and neighborhood mobility corridors.
🚗 Traffic Calming: Addressing residential traffic flow, speed mitigation, and pedestrian safety near local parks and schools.
🏡 Quality of Life: Advocating for cleaner, safer, and better-resourced neighborhoods across our entire community.
Effective advocacy requires consistent engagement with City Hall. ECWA remains committed to ensuring our community’s priorities are front and center in citywide planning.

What’s happening to reinstate funding for speed bumps/humps, weekly street sweeping, and all the cuts that were made to the budget? LADOT told me it will take six years to get speed humps on my street with a school. Alisa in councilwoman Hutt’s office has been super helpful, but frustrating process overall and disappointing that a renowned city is so limited in its ability to provide basic services.
