Off to university: a 4 day trip from LA up the coast to the ferry at Port Angeles -- and seeing the Olympic Peninsula retreat behind the flag fluttering on the back of the boat brought home that this is a trip to the Great White North, to family (a trip through so much nature: fires, magnificent redwoods, the coast, a fierce storm which was a first for the kid) and, yes, it's all in the little moments when you're doing a big, big thing. #goingtouniversity #mykidisagreatdriver #proudmamamoments
