Woodville Palace has lived many lives. Once owned by Sir William Rose Mansfield, the Commander-in-Chief of British India, it later became a royal possession when Maharaja Bhagwat Singhji of Gondal, Gujarat gifted it to his daughter, Rani Leelabai, after her marriage.
Today, this magnificent piece of history welcomes travellers as Woodville Palace Hotel — Shimla’s only Heritage Palace Hotel.
