These mushrooms were picked by my dear friends Silvia and Davide from
@borgo_sgarabia_relais , in the hills of Emilia.
And then they reached the hands of a very special cook: their 90-year-old grandmother. ❤️
You may remember her from the plums we shared some time ago.
This is the Emilia I love to show my guests.
Not only Parmigiano, balsamic vinegar or Lambrusco, but the little things that are still part of everyday life here: walking into the woods, bringing home what the season gives us, and a grandmother who still knows exactly what to do with it.
No staged experience. Just family, tradition and the rhythm of the seasons.
And sometimes, these are the memories of Italy that stay with you the longest.
