This man worked for NASA, but more importantly, he became my dad when I was seven.

By the time we met, he’d left NASA to chase a different life. I’ve never known such a strong man, someone with the patience of a monk through all the storms I threw at him as a challenging teenager.

It was through his eyes that I fell in love with the stars. Everything that has ever inspired me came from him. He was my champion and my cheerleader through every adventure. And yes, we had a battle cry for ice cream time.🍦💪🏽

Wish he was here to see what comes next.
