It’s our anniversary! August 13, 2017 so nine years today. @madeforherbyher and I held our very own seminar “we are the weirdos mister” I always get emotional on this day and I’ll never forget it. This is something that we did with literally nothing, we were both going through so much at the time and we just wanted to create an experience for people like us, artists, weirdos, people they didn’t feel like they fit in. And that’s what we did I seriously still don’t know how the hell we pulled it off lol but it was amazing and a memory. I will always cherish. I see a lot of my girls in the video too and it makes me emotional all over again. I love you guys and thank you for supporting us and I love you Yadi. Thank you for being a rock for me at that time but we did it and it’s still something that speaks volumes today!

Reading this and immediately getting in my feels cus these words spoke VOLUMES. What a time and what a blessing to have this core memory with you. A true girls girl, a leader, a provider, a sick ass mom, a MILF, a creative queen. We really did just want to create a safe space for our fellow weirdos on a dime and we did just that 🥹🤝🏻 P.s: Thank you for your solid presence in my life during that time too Sam.... needed you more than you needed me for sure 🫶🏻

I’m in deep despair as I write this tonight. RJ Mitte, my sweet son on Breaking Bad has died. I met him when he was only 14 years old when he was cast as Walter White Jr., a part he played with such joy and enthusiasm. Born with Cerebral Palsy, he never - ever - allowed that challenge to be an excuse for anything. He met the demanding shooting schedule head on with great determination. Always listening to the advice that his TV parents (Anna Gunn and myself) gave him - but being a teenager, sometimes mischievously ignoring the counsel in order to learn the hard way… He was one of the stars of a hit TV show - but still a kid. That kid was pretty raw when we started shooting the pilot in February of 2007, but little by little we watched him grow into a really fine actor. He parlayed his experience on the show to be a vocal advocate for performers with disabilities, and was the head of a philanthropic organization with a focus on helping the disabled community. All that promise and potential now is such a loss. It is especially devastating to hear that he took his own life. Why? We were texting each other just a few weeks ago - figuring out when we could meet for lunch. I don’t know if that lunch would have changed his future… But I do know that I loved him, and thoroughly enjoyed being with him throughout the years on the series, and after the spotlight on Breaking Bad dimmed… I’ll miss you, son. @nbcsnl fired Shane Gillis in 2019 for slurs. Then they brought him back to host. Then again. And again. Last night they handed him the biggest comedy stage in the country, and he used it to call women whores for what they wear to the gym. Someone wrote that monologue. Someone approved it. Someone at NBC watched rehearsal and said “yep, ship it.” That’s not edgy. That’s a network deciding misogyny is good for fucking ratings. And it’s disgusting. Every time a show like SNL gives a man like this a mic, it tells every guy watching that this is just a joke. That women are fair game. That the guy in the corner of the gym staring and filming isn’t a creep, he’s relatable. We’re done laughing along. Stop booking him. Stop buying tickets.
