An LLC can create an important layer of separation between you and your business.

But that separation shouldn’t exist only on paper.

How you handle the business day-to-day matters, especially when those decisions are later being examined in litigation.

And no, a few questionable charges don’t automatically mean the corporate veil gets pierced. Florida law requires much more than that.

But if someone starts digging through your company’s records, bank statements, contracts and transactions, you want the story they tell to match the business structure you created.

Form the entity. Then operate like one.
