Many thanks to the inimitable @sashabarr for hosting me in Seattle. And shout out to the homies @arehling1 and @mattchucole for making the trip around the Olympic peninsula.

We hit some great spots. Ruby Beach, Beach 2, an 11 mile hike thru the Hoh Rainforest.

We also ate some decent food in the peninsula town of Forks. Rinconocito Del Sabor, where Aaron felt the struggle. Sullys Burgers - milkshakes were had. Golden Gate Chinese (twice!), where the General Tsos chicken was better than the General Tsos tofu. Shout out to the owner and her family. They’ve been holding it down for 30 years! Also shout out to 11 year Blake helping out his mom at the local bistro. We learned a lot about the happenings in Forks from this young man.

Conversations were rangy. From Nightmare on Elm St to the challenges of AI. From the band Geese (🪿) to 8 Ball and MJG. From Twin Peaks to the best Jason movies. From Neuromancer to the Bobiverse. Ground was covered, thoughts were shared.

There were, of course, side splitting laughs. I mean, chuckles that left me sore the next day.

Sunsets on the beach. Hours in the rainforest. Ferry beers. The search for the Fisher, the cat sized weasel. This trip had it all.
