Releasing today is Reality Fracture, the newest set from Magic: The Gathering! This was the first set I worked on as an art director after joining last spring, alongside WotC legend Keven Smith.

It was my first opportunity to commission work from some of Magic’s incredible artists and collaborate with our amazing designers and the wider team. It’s a fun, collaborative team, and it truly takes a village to bring these sets to life. Stoked to see this one out in the world! #wotcstaff @wizards_magic

Poster for tonight’s @johnnyblueskies Mutiny for the Masses performance @climatepledgearena here in Seattle. Been a big fan for a long while now so quite happy to fulfill my one poster a year quota with this one. Lil mix of the new album cover art with our fair city. There’s a regular and foil variant for sale at the show tonight. Many thanks to madassistantjanice for the opportunity. Expertly printed by @brokenpressdesign of course. #johnnyblueskies #sturgillsimpson #oneposterayear by @sashabarr

Very stoked to see this collab between @35thnorth & @nbnumeric see the light of day. Myself and @35thnorth worked closely with the team at NB# (namely footwear designer @weast_coast ) to bring this Pacific Northwest inspired 480 to life. We included a number of custom details throughout, not to mention a custom box and extra goodies(such as a pine scented air freshener) to go with the first 200 pairs. They go on sale Friday August 21st at 7pm in-store (and online), where we’ll have a Sasquatch themed art show I curated featuring a host of buds.

Many thanks to @jasperdohrs for getting some great skate photos with @coregreengage (now featured on the side of the shop) as well as starring in a killer promo video by @benericson and @nikharper

The NB# team is also in town with @thrashermagazine for a skate jam at the Cal Anderson Courts Friday before the shoe release and a demo at Jefferson Skatepark Saturday August 22nd. taken in 35th North Skateshop Seattle by @sashabarr

At the end of June I was fortunate enough to participate in @stephen_matera and @scott_kranz first ever Olympic National Park Photography Workshop. We explored all three zones of the Olympic National Park with a group of eight folks from all around the U.S.

I definitely learned A Lot, made some new friends, and got to spend more time futzing about in nature with my camera than I think I ever have. It was my first real time exploring the National Park to boot.

It was a chance to try some new ways of seeing and shooting and I’m pretty stoked on the results! Here’s a few too many in no real order and I’m sure I’ll discover more as I continue to dig through all my photos.

Many thanks to Steve and Scott for having me, and all the other participants for making such a welcoming space. Definitely looking forward to doing it again!

After 12 glorious years the Sub Pop store in SeaTac is closing at the end of the year. While I am sad to see it go I am forever thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the team that brought it to life and helped create an entirely new and unique representation of the label. Prior to the SeaTac store SP had but a few curated merch items, it truly was a journey into the unknown. We trusted our instincts, were nimble, patient, and tried our very best to make a store with products we believed in that represented the label, the music, and the greater Seattle region. Everything from the graphics, the merch itself, the packaging, the partnerships, the products we brought in, to the artists we collaborated with were all new opportunities. I feel very proud of what we made and grew over these last 12 years. It truly gave the company a chance to grow and change in countless new ways. I know I/we learned So Much in the process.

It most certainly took a village and I give thanks to every one at SP I worked with, the folks that trusted us to do it, the vendors, the artists that we worked with us, and the community at large for supporting it. There’s too many folks to name, but without a doubt it wouldn’t have been possible without the trust of JP and Megan, the art dept captain himself/my partner in crime Jeff K, Jaimi, Kara, Rachel R, Julie B, Amanda & James, Angelina, Dylan & Dustin, all of the store staff, and Gabe & everyone in the warehouse. New loading screen for Fornite just released this week with Chatper 7. This time around I did a new character, Kingston. I’m told it’s also in game as a mural somewhere. I tried to find it but I kept getting killed. Let me know if you find it…

A handful of photos from our recent visit to Kauai. Thankful for the times, the sun, beaches, hikes, good food, and of course waterfalls.
