@tdcmagazine // TDC Specials: Project Otenga by Agrima Manglik
@projectotenga in Delhi, designed by Agrima Manglik, extends the identity of its Ahmedabad predecessor through a new material and cultural language. Built primarily in bamboo, with wattle-and-daub walls and a traditional Assamese tokoupaat roof, the 1,500 sq ft café responds to its green setting while carrying forward the brand’s informal, open character.
The plan is organised around an existing tree, with seating, an interactive kitchen, and a larger service kitchen connected through a largely column-free interior. Bamboo clusters, natural finishes, and open edges blur the boundary between café and landscape, while dedicated walls for artwork allow the space to function as a small platform for cultural exchange.
