@tdcmagazine // TDC Exclusive: Le Casa Lion by d6thD Design Studio

Set along the edge of Gir Wildlife Sanctuary, this retreat by @the6thd is shaped by the forest itself, with mature trees determining the placement of cottages and pathways. Soft lime-plastered walls and pale surfaces lend the vernacular construction a quiet Mediterranean softness, catching shifting shadows while keeping the architecture visually subdued against the landscape.

Drawing from the sheltered form of a lion’s den, the cottages take shape as elongated volumes capped by brick vaults. Full-height glazing, private pools, arched openings, and locally crafted details create a strong dialogue with the wilderness, while a lightweight structural strategy reduces concrete and allows light and ventilation to penetrate the vaulted forms.

@tdcmagazine // TDC Specials: Project Otenga by Agrima Manglik

@projectotenga in Delhi, designed by Agrima Manglik, extends the identity of its Ahmedabad predecessor through a new material and cultural language. Built primarily in bamboo, with wattle-and-daub walls and a traditional Assamese tokoupaat roof, the 1,500 sq ft café responds to its green setting while carrying forward the brand’s informal, open character.

The plan is organised around an existing tree, with seating, an interactive kitchen, and a larger service kitchen connected through a largely column-free interior. Bamboo clusters, natural finishes, and open edges blur the boundary between café and landscape, while dedicated walls for artwork allow the space to function as a small platform for cultural exchange.

@tdcmagazine // TDC Exclusive: Ark Office by Studio Karigari

Designed by Studio Karigari, this 3,300 sq. ft. office for Ark Golden India Pvt. Ltd. in Vadodara reimagines the contemporary workplace through a bold interplay of colour, materiality, and spatial flow. Moving away from conventional corporate palettes, the interiors introduce vibrant cyan, red, graphite, and beige accents that energise the space while maintaining a sense of balance and sophistication.

Organised around an open-plan layout, the office combines collaborative workspaces, private cabins, and meeting areas within a cohesive design language. Natural materials such as stone, wood, and lime-finished walls are paired with sculptural elements, bespoke lighting, and graphic detailing to create an environment that feels both creative and professional. The result is a workplace that reflects the company’s innovative outlook while fostering focus, interaction, and a strong sense of identity.
