Filming a true one shot short film meant that we were at the mercy of the weather for The Robinson’s Family BBQ. Saturday was too sunny, shadows were causing a nightmare, Sunday had spells of heavy rain.

This was a hard job as a producer, knowing the right time to start a take and making sure people were happy to stand down when the time called for it.

A really good learning experience.
We managed to do 9 takes over 2 days and on the 9th take we got it.
Would I have loved a 10th go at it? Of course I would, but you’re always going to find imperfections in your work. It’s about learning from that and taking it forward to the next job
