North West based producer for music videos, film & commercial projects

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Been quiet for a minute so let me tease you with the next project I did
Music video for @_savannadarnell - Gotta Have It

This one was all about location. We wanted a big dance hit so we had to think about where it was possible to shoot so many people.

When location scouting we walked past this alley which gave very NYC vibes. With Savanna holding a special place in her heart for NYC, we decided this would be the direction we go with. Think alleys, diner’s etc.

This was the first time I’d worked with dancers so it really was a challenge but every single one brought their A game and the video banged if I do say so myself

Down to Italy for a showing at @matera_film_festival in Italy this coming November!

Honorable Mention for Best Short Film at @frenchduckfestival. There are no ducks in this film but as bird enthusiasts I’m sure they were moved by the missing budgie 🦆🦆

A bit closer to home we won Spirit of the City award at the inaugural @buryfilmfestival in July - an honour to screen the film in its home county! by @producedbyrossi

It was important for me to create a homely environment for not only the shot but the subject too.
This was our second set up for the ICE vs ICE shoot and we broke up some of the performance takes to get album covers. As a team, myself and @longmondays are constantly trying to make the best use of our time on set so when @iamladyice talked about images to attach to the audio then we knew this was something we could also deliver.

One of the images we took as since gone on to be used quite heavily in ICE’s campaigns for not only this track but for announcements on her instagram too.

This was the last version of the visualiser we shot. It was around 1am and we’d tried to replicate a living room set up outside but with minimal lighting we decided to switch up what we were doing and go on the fly to capture this one

My second project.

In December 2024, I was tasked with producing my first visualiser for @iamladyice
Working alongside directing extraordinaire @longmondays we came up with the idea of putting living room set ups in unconventional spaces.

Keep your eyes peeled as I roll out the photos. What places do you think we went for?

How on earth do you charge for doing a job?
Well I recently learnt about the website APA which has a handy guideline about rate cards and what things can move your rate up or down. It’s a super handy tool but obviously each project varies depending on budget and output.

If anyone has any questions then please feel free to drop me a message

Filming a true one shot short film meant that we were at the mercy of the weather for The Robinson’s Family BBQ. Saturday was too sunny, shadows were causing a nightmare, Sunday had spells of heavy rain.

This was a hard job as a producer, knowing the right time to start a take and making sure people were happy to stand down when the time called for it.

A really good learning experience.
We managed to do 9 takes over 2 days and on the 9th take we got it.
Would I have loved a 10th go at it? Of course I would, but you’re always going to find imperfections in your work. It’s about learning from that and taking it forward to the next job

The team behind “The Robinson’s Family BBQ”

Produced by Myself & @_jamesward98
Directed by myself & @longmondays
Written by @longmondays & @_jamesward98

We make 3/4 of @farewelltheatrecompany.

With this account I’ll be posting more about each project but for now it’s about the BBQ. This was our biggest film festival and the film was very well received

I managed to watch over 50 films at @mcrfilmfestival back in May; I cannot wait for next year!

Where it all started.

My first short film

Originally titled Vegan Lasagne (ignore lasagna), this one shot, slice of life, British short film explored The Robinsons’ annual family BBQ.

We shot this in 9 takes over 2 days, the team was incredible and I can’t thank them enough for the time and effort that went into this project

Welcome to Produced by Rossi

As some of you know, I started producing in 2024 and have been on a roll with it ever since.
I started this page to show you what I get up to but also I want to know tips & tricks of the game.
I want to be asked questions and ask them myself in return.

So thank you for joining me on this journey.

Can’t wait to show you what I’ve created.
